PM Spam!

Hi members,

Today, I caught a registered member using our PM system to SPAM other members.

The member's username was Jeannette.
I say "Was", because Jeannette is no longer with us.
She managed to spam 7 of our members before the system busted her butt.

Brothers, I apologize for the hassle.

Anyone having problems with spam, let me know.
Bless their harts, they do Work at it. :Laugh:
To bad they really ARE scabs in the world.

Apparently jeanette tagged me with the SPAM, every time I go back to the main forum area I get hit. Anything you could do to help would be appreciated.

I'm not following how your getting spamed now.
Jannet's membership has been deleted.

We protect our members private eMail addresses.
Jannet was using her membership to login and send members spam, using our Private Messaging system.
She still did not get access to anyone's actual eMail address.
If you get any spam in your your Private Messages, Just foward them to me.
You will see a "Foward" button at the bottom of any private message you get.
If fact, if you can, foward any spam you get, and I WILL take care of it.

The more spacific you can be about a problem, the more it helps me.
What do you mean by getting hit when you go to the main forums?

Are you talking about the popup notice saying you have a private message, when you login on the main forum page?
You get rid of that by clicking on the "Private Messages" button just under where you login.
That one is not spam, That's just the system letting you know that you have a new PM.
