I just got back to California after spending Christmas with family in Marietta. Both my wife & self were very impressed with the feel of the area and the people we met were great. :Thumbs Up: Now I know the term Southern hospitality isn't just a figure of speech.

I am currently a signatory contractor, journeyman HVACR pipefitter with 20 years on the job and served my 5 year technical college apprenticeship in Australia.

I would like to look into the possibility of relocating to the N.W Atlanta area in the future and would like to know more about the current work environment. Can anyone tell me how is the scale ? is there plenty of year round work etc?? contracting opportunities even, or other prospects in the area.

I would likely sell the current business to any interested party. We are signatory on the UA & DC16.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am out of Atlanta local 72 and currently the scale is $27.85 for journeyman. We have to vote on how to allocate our $1.50 raise at our june union meeting. There shouldnt' be any problems getting out if your a service tech. Hope I could help.
