Any body got anything on the powerhouse out of 455 St. Paul? My BA said I could go to it but I'm wanting to get closer to SC.

Never mind powerhouse.Flint Hills refinery turnaround is the one.7-10s starts Mon. 8-13 til 3rd week in Oct. If you want to stay after ther's a good chance.

How long is the flint hills refinary going to have an open for fitters there? I have a BA that doesn't let me go anywhere unless I am laid off. I have til next friday til I get laid off, Is it going to be open then still?? Thanks

I don't think that'll be a prob. Outage starts Sept. 6. We were gonna start 7 days this week but something down in the refinery exploded and that's put off. Maybe this week. Hope so. G luck.

Travelers is about all that's on the job. Foremen too. As far as I know they're still puttin 'em on. BA to BA. Make him work.

I talked to my BA from my local and he said it is a open call for welders. Are they also hiring fitters? Or do I need a fitter/welder combo?

I asked my Ba MOnday and he said for just welders, I think he is bullshitting me since I am currently working on my job til Friday and he will probably say something totally different after I let him know I am definately laid off. I am having so much fun traveling so far, of course it will get old after a while, Hey, did any one get hurt on that explosion?

No noone hurt.It was in a tank and I don't think it actually got out of the vessel.It's nice that you're enjoying your time on the road.It's good to be able to choose whether or not you want to.A lot of us from the south don't get an option and yes it will get old.I started in 1979.
